would be the ocean. and right behind that, would be the wind of the Patagonia. This clip does some (not complete) justice to the intensity of this wind, and the beauty of Coyhaique, and the Cerro Castillo area.
I have explored some of this terrain, and I want to explore much more of it.
Charlie--of course I like it that you share this with us--as you have your political engagement. All signs of thought and energy gathered are GOOD. But I'd also like to see you explore how to make it your own. For example, some screen shots of the images here, re-assembled to tell your own story--or images mixed with those from your own story-- your own words--would give us more the density (and the feeling) of what the images mean to you.
ReplyDeleteOur thursday evenings are places for you to make these kinds of connections. And giving them FORM (Charlie form) is what it's all about. To paraphrase, "that's his (meaning Charlie's) journey..."
That said, I look forward to how you write about the piece from last week--which was quite promising in the way it showed your hand, your sensibility in terms of color. These are things that need to be nourished--and guided. sometimes keeping on one track--or having one track that one returns to among the many tracks--can be a good thing. Gives us a base-line, or point of reference--and allows us to see--to guage--development. Not as a test (ie, copretition) but as a developement of the sharing of self...one's understanding of the world.
ReplyDeletehmmm...spelling wise, that's gauge and competition...
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm talking about is being beautiful charlie...el gringo macanudo...
